Effective 20 August 2026
Your workouts, sessions, programs, challenges, progress history, body weight, pain notes and settings are stored on your iPhone. If you enable iCloud sync, they are also stored in your own iCloud, under your Apple ID, where we have no access.
Petra answers using large-language-model AI. When you ask Petra something (a question, a session build, a swap, a form check), the request is sent through our secure relay to an AI provider: Anthropic (Claude) and/or Google (Gemini). A request can include the context Petra needs to coach you well: the relevant workout details, recent training history, your equipment, body weight, pain or injury notes you have recorded, and, only when you use those features, photos of equipment or short exercise-form video frames. If you have granted Apple Health access, summary figures (such as heart rate or activity totals) may be included in your weekly review.
PT‑One uses Apple's App Attest to confirm requests come from a genuine copy of the app on a real device. This creates a random cryptographic identifier on your device. It contains no personal information and is not connected to your name, email, or Apple ID. We use it to meter fair usage of the AI service (your "AI Credits"). We store this random identifier, a usage counter, and nothing else.
If you send feedback from inside the app, the text you write (and a screenshot, only if you attach one) is stored so we can read it and improve PT‑One. Sending feedback is always your choice.
If the app crashes, Apple's on-device diagnostics may prepare a technical report. PT‑One only sends it if you agree when asked.
With your permission, PT‑One reads limited Health data (such as steps, heart rate and workout minutes) to show your own trends and inform your weekly review. Health data is never sold, never used for advertising, and is only ever sent to an AI provider as part of a Petra request you make, as described above.
Deleting the app deletes your on-device data (and its cryptographic identifier; a reinstall starts fresh). Data in your own iCloud is under your control in iOS Settings. To remove feedback you have sent, contact us.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app's release notes will say so plainly. Questions or requests: ptoneadmin@gmail.com
